Last week Yaanma joined 155 Indigenous Businesses at Supply Nation’s annual Connect Tradeshow. The biggest event of its kind so far saw a record number of exhibitors and attendees including Cushman and Wakefield, Koori Mail and Westpac.
This year Yaanma exhibited at the 2 day Connect event, interacting with supplier diversity advocates and Indigenous business people alike. The event saw a record number of industry leaders come together to celebrate supplier diversity. With over 650 visitors at the tradeshow and 700 attendees at the Gala dinner, the event stood as a testament to the power of business and community.
The knowledge forum held on day one was full of invaluable information delivered by key guest and government speakers including; Nadine Williams, Stan grant and Bernard salt. Discussion throughout the day centred around supplier diversity , Indigenous procurement policies and the corporate sectors commitment to Indigenous engagement
Yaanma gained significant traction at the Connect tradeshow with General Manager Melissa Brennan and CSM Shannon Motlop networking with both new and familiar faces from the year prior.
A year on from Yaanma’s first exhibition with Supply Nation, the young Indigenous business is now Supply Nation certified and well recognised within the Indigenous business community.
